Parade Committee

The parades are a favorite of many guests at the Nebraska State Fair. They run everyday with different entries and fun floats each day. The Parade committee works together in the months prior to the fair to organize and promote the parades.

Window Display Committee

The Window Display Contest is a favorite of many locals since the fair has relocated to Grand Island, Nebraska. Businesses can participate by entering their window decorations in one of four display categories: novice painted, professional painted, graphic, and 3-D. The window display committee works together in the months prior to the fair to organize and promote the Window Display Contest.

Hay Bale Committee

The Hay Bale decorating Contest has become a beloved tradition since the fair has relocated to Grand Island, Nebraska. Businesses and organizations can participate by submitting applications of their Proposed hay bale design. Selected hay bales will be located around town and on the fairground to get the excitement going. The Hay Bale committee works together in the months prior to the fair to organize and promote the Hay Bale decorating Contest.

Planting Committee

This year the Nebraska State Fair will have 22 new concrete planters in addition to the 90 existing planters. These planters will be placed around the fairgrounds to offer fair guest a welcoming and green atmosphere. Vlcek Gardens will be coordinating the State Fair plantings again this year. The planting committee will also sign up to assist with watering and upkeep of the planters.
